History
OAO "Krasny Pishchevik" is the oldest company of confectionery branch in the food industry in the Republic of Belarus. It is a part of the Belarusian state concern "Belgospishcheprom". Nowadays "Krasny Pishchevik" is a modern factory that produces legendary sweets using classic technologies and natural raw materials. It is also one of the most dynamically developing and modernizing confectionery factories in the post-Soviet area. But it wasn't always like that...
The factory history starts in 1870 According to the Bobruisk state archive in this particular year a yeast plant was founded in the city that was staying near Berezina river. It was owned by the merchant Honon Raytsin. The merchant was also the owner of other two factories: a distillery and a brewery. Initially, there were only 3 workers at the yeast factory.
In 1890 Honon sold the factory to the merchant of the 2-nd Guild, Zusman Rabinovich. At the time of the deal the factory consisted of industrial premises, an office, a manor house, a workshop, a boiler room, an ice house, a stable and a canopy. 8 years later a part of industrial and management area passed into ownership of Osher Rabinovich and Shmerke Golodets. These merchants owned the factory until 1902 Over the following years the owners were changing several times from such noblemen as Carl Nezabytovsky and Vinkenty Poklevsky- Cozello to merchant Yankel Rozovsky. May be for this reason the plant was re-equipped and modernized many times.
